Sup yo! I’m Sara and Black Lotus Design is my floral and botanical artistry studio. This is the part where I show a complete lack of humility and tell you how awesome I am because I have over 13 years of experience working with flowers and plants. I have worked for some of the top flower shops and floral designers in San Diego county and my work can be seen in some of the most hip restaurants and cafes in town. My style is a bit unconventional, but I love that. It fuels my fire! The funkier, the better! My talents are diverse and I thrive on being innovative and cutting edge. I specialize in installations, styling for photo shoots and floral and botanical decor for all occasions.
I am doing my part to protect our environment. First, I do whatever I can to buy locally-grown product to cut down on the environmental impact of transporting commodities around the world. And with the product I’ve bought, I do my best to cut down on waste. I donate leftover flowers and arrangements to Heliotrope for Hospice where the flowers are re-purposed and made into bedside table arrangements for individuals in San Diego hospice care. All other waste is mulched, recycled or re-used, whenever possible.
